Here are some academic highlights from the Fall 2025 semester! Our FSL students once again earned a higher average GPA than unaffiliated/independent students, continuing to show that Monmouth does fraternities and sororities the right way.

Additionally, we had 55 sorority members and 27 fraternity members (approximately 50.9% of our Greeks) named to the Dean’s List. Furthermore, we had 16 sorority members and 10 fraternity members (about 16.1% of our Greeks) obtain a 4.0 semester GPA.

Special shoutout to Pi Beta Phi for having the highest GPA among all chapters, and also to Sigma Phi Epsilon for having the highest GPA among fraternities! Kappa Kappa Gamma also deserves recognition for improving their chapter GPA the most from last spring to this fall.

We are extremely proud of all of our chapters and their academic accomplishments this semester. As always, thank you to all the faculty and staff that made this semester another great one!

Join us in wishing the men of Zeta Beta Tau a Happy Founders Day!

Zeta Beta Tau was founded on December 29, 1898 at the City College of New York by Dr. Richard J. H. Gottheil. After being founded as the world's first Jewish Zionist Fraternity, ZBT became nonsectarian in 1954 and opened their doors to non-Jewish members, changing their membership policy to include "All Men of Good Character." In 1971, a local Monmouth College fraternity by the name of Phi Epsilon Phi officially became the Delta Lambda chapter of ZBT.

Today, there are over 90 active undergraduate ZBT chapters with 140,000 lifetime members. The fraternity's vision statement is "Forging Leaders, Bettering the World." For more information about ZBT, please visit the following link: https://zbt.org/

Please join us in congratulating our newest initiates into Order of Omega, the fraternity/sorority honor society on campus!

Our Fall 2025 class is made up of 16 individuals from 5 chapters, and the average GPA of these new members is 3.75!

The qualifications for membership in Order of Omega include character, scholarship, service, and leadership. These undergraduates certainly display these characteristics, representing their individual chapters and Monmouth College well!

This year’s Moot Court competition was a very special one for our fraternity/sorority community! The 4 finalists for the oral argument category were all in a fraternity or sorority, as were the top 3 in the written legal brief category!

Oral Argument Finalists:

Written Legal Brief Top 3:

- Cameron Shook (Zeta Beta Tau)
- Payton Crims (Zeta Beta Tau)

The case was fictional, but the pressure was real at Monmouth’s 15th annual moot court competition.
