🦅🎉Please join us in celebrating Mrs. Amberlyn Sordelett, our August SOAR Award recipient! Mrs. Sordelett has led our school-wide Flight Plan initiative, partnering with colleagues to develop our NEST expectations and spread that "Protect the Nest" energy across every hallway and classroom. Her leadership has helped set the tone for a strong start to the year, and our students and staff are already flying higher because of it. Thank you, Mrs. Sordelett, for the way you lift up everyone around you. Way to go!

🎉Congratulations to Mr. Gary Austin, our very own Bedford’s Best award recipient! During sixth-grade lunch yesterday, Superintendent Mr. William Dupere surprised Mr. Austin with this well-deserved recognition. We are incredibly proud of the outstanding work he does each day and of the leadership he provides to his custodial team in keeping our school clean, welcoming, and ready for learning. Mr. Austin does far more than help us pass the “drive-by test!” Whether he is plugging a tire, jump-starting a car, doing various behind-the-scenes troubleshooting that often goes unseen, or stepping in wherever help is needed, he truly makes a difference for our entire school community. Way to go, Mr. Austin!

BUCKLE UP, STAUNTON RIVER… SOMETHING FUN IS COMING YOUR WAY! It’s time for YOVASO: Youth of Virginia Speak Out about Traffic Safety! Students who are interested can grab an application from our SRO, Deputy Connelly, in Room 202 and join the club!

YOVASO members help spread the word about traffic safety, educate their peers, and take part in school events, football games, and other activities throughout the year. Ready to help steer your school toward safer roads? 😎 Applications are due back Wednesday, September 2nd. Get it in gear and grab yours today!
