My post today is for my Vegetarian friends and great food lovers. I AM WONDERING IF YOU WOULD BE INTEREST IN COOKING THAI FOOD WITH ME?
LAST YEAR I INVITED MY FRIENDS FROM BEDFORD CITY TO DINNER AND FOUND OUT 3 DAYS AHEAD THAT THEY ARE VEGETARIANS. I scrambled and put together 3-4 different dishes and they totally love it.
I apologized for the picture of my meat dish but it was one of my roasted lamb leg dinner I cooked for us last year. I have not cook with lamb mush but this one was the best. Sorry , but I love it.

Yesterday (12/28) I went to get my bread supply in Rocky Mount and decided to stop for lunch at Villa Nova"s curbside cucina. They are across from Homestead creamery in a Food truck type setting in Burnt Chimney. (Physical address is 7195 booker T.Washington Hwy, Wirtz , VA. Ph,434-390-4440)
It was the best decision to stop there to eat because their food is excellent. My husband had Meatball Parmigiana ($9.50) and I had Philly Cheesesteak and both are delicious. My husband said that his sandwich was " the best he has ever eaten" . The services was very good. They told us that it will take about 12 min. for my sandwich (because they cooked to order). It worthed all the waiting and every penny spent. They have Pizza, (several kinds and by a slice. It is called Authentic N.Y. style Pizza) and Calzone, baked ziti, salads baked pasta salad, wings. Dessert is Italian Cannoli .The homemade tomatoes sauce is delicious .
I highly recommend this restaurant.

Good Evening: Making 16 loaves of Raisin breads for my subscribers and realized that I will not get to eat any !!! I made two more for me( or 1 for sale???) .
The weather is nice and hot and my dough love it! I made these breads all by hand. I did the "stretch and folds" several times to built the gluten and it worked wonder. My bread are huge. One loaf weight 2.3 lb. and the other is 1 lb. 13 oz. It is delicious and very moist.
Anyone interested in buying the 2 .3 lb Raisins bread? I will sell it for $10.00. why? Because it is as large as two loaves , it is delicious and just baked with no chemicals. Ingredients are :bread four, whole wheat flour , sourdough starter, raisin, salt water, yeast. Please let me know ASAP. Thanks.
Mark Sinclair is the baker whom I greatly admired. I knew and watched him since I followed him on The fresh loaf. Before he was doing it as a mobile unit, he was in Montana( I think.It has been a long time ago). He used to host people who are interested in making bread to come and apprentice with him. His work as a one man unit as a baker both in Bread and pastry and is able to produce huge amount of perfect products for sale is amazing.

Hello all: These are breads which will be going to CJ. on Monday. Since I only made 2 loaf of sourdough, I cut it in half in order to share to all. I may be making some more(????). It is depend on how the sourdough starter turns out.

Within 16 hours "308" people log in to see the post, 159 engaged and 26 of you commented. I know that people like Thai foods but I have no idea!!! It is incredible.
The votes for which food to learn how to cook came in like a tsunami!!! The #1 , Comfort Thai food is a winner of 11 votes, the Brioche and European Artisan breads came in second with 2 votes.
So we will be learning how to make sweet and sour pork and cashew chicken together . We will also learn how to plate it beautifully.
I will post the date and time of the class next( probably tonight so you will have the time to decide).
The pictures below are the foods we are going to learn how to cook. The first picture in the wok is from a "can" picture on line (since I can not find my picture of cashew chicken.) The next two pictures are mine. The middle picture is the sweet and sourVeggies with tofu( my friends who came to dinner are vegetarians so I made it with tofu instead. The last picture of fried rice is mine. It is a picture of shrimp and pineapple fried rice which I also made it on the same day for my friend who is a vegetarian (but she can eat seafood. )
I tried to offer this class of shrimp with fresh pineapple fried rice but there is no taker!!! It is a pity because it is delicious and is a gourmet show off dish. I was going to show the class how we will serve this dish in the fresh pineapple boat. We will scoop out the meat of the pineapple and use it in the fried rice , then we put the fried rice into the pineapple "boat" . It is stunning.
I served 3 different Vegan dishes for my friends. They love it.

A, Sweet Brioche Cinnamon rolls ( Brioche dough full with butter) and European Peasant bread.
B: Sweet cinnamon rolls and European Peasant bread. The sweet rolls are similar to brioche but not as rich as Brioche.
