📍Monclova Rd I began playing guitar when I was fifteen years old after my Dad gave me a DVD of Neil Young with Crazy Horse.

🎵Experience has shown me that the most successful teaching skills are patience and positive reinforcement.

🎸Looking to start or continue guitar lessons in the Toledo area for yourself or a loved one? I just knew I had to learn to play. I took private lessons for many years and went on to study jazz and classical guitar at The University of Toledo. I’ve performed in bands, but what I find I enjoy

the most is working with students. Before I began teaching guitar, I taught martial arts for several years. That experience showed me the most successful teaching skills were patience and positive reinforcement. I apply those same skills to teaching guitar. Guitarists like Neil Young, Robbie Robertson, and Mark Knopfler inspired me, and I love teaching students how to play the music that inspires them.

We’re in the New Year! 🎸

I hope everyone had a great holiday season. As we head into a new year, I’m grateful to celebrate a meaningful milestone, ten years of teaching at the Monclova Community Center.

This past year was especially rewarding, including seeing students like Amelia and Jacob take the next step in their musical journey by releasing an album with their band Hit & Run.

I’m looking forward to another year of helping students grow, learn, and enjoy making music!
