📚🎨 Reading + Art = Learning in Action! 🎨📚
After reading our HMH story Clark the Shark and discussing story elements and central idea, Mrs. White’s class put their creativity to work!
Students were given a variety of art materials and mediums to recreate the main characters and setting from the story. They then used their creations to retell the problem Clark and his friends faced.
The students were highly engaged throughout the process and were able to accurately retell the story using their artwork! 🎨📖
Integrating the arts into reading gave every student an opportunity to actively engage, create, and demonstrate their understanding in a meaningful way. What a fun way to bring literacy to life!
