Monahans Choirs This page is for members of the Monahans High School, Walker Junior High and Sudderth Elementary Choirs and their parents.

This will mostly be an information hub for our events throughout the year.

Last convocation rehearsal today @ 1:00! If you haven't made it to one yet, no worries. Come on!

Tomorrow. Warm-up in the choir room at 8:15. Please be on time. Convocation starts at 8:45. You'll be done pretty quick.

Jeans and a nice shirt for tomorrow. No shorts and please no holes.

Quick rehearsal on Thursday at 1:00.
We need to be warming up by 8:15 on Friday. Convocation starts at 8:45. You will likely be finished close to 9:00.
Football players, I have talked to Coach Jones and you should be getting out by 8:00 Friday morning. Hustle over! You are going to sound great!!

Attention Lobo Choir Parents!

We are looking for some amazing people to help with our choir booster club. We typically meet once a month. We help with logistics for our big events, fundraiser planning, and finding great ways to support some of the best students out there. If you would be willing to help our officers, or if you would be willing to learn from them in order to take their place when their time to serve is over, please consider emailing me so that I can add you to our communications.

If you would be willing to help us in other ways, we would love to add you to a list of parents we can contact when we need assistance.

MHS Choir!
Reminder:
Rehearsal today at 1:00 for convocation. If you haven't made it to one yet, no worries, come on! If you're a volleyball player, good luck at your scrimmages next Friday. We will have many opportunities to sing the National Anthem through the year, so it still wouldn't hurt to come practice. If you can't make it this week because you're still out of town, no worries. We will have one more rehearsal next week on Wednesday or Thursday.
Convocation is Next Friday at 9:00. We'll meet in the choir room at 8:15. You should be done around 9:30.

MHS Choir reminder!
Tomorrow we will have our second rehearsal for convocation. This will be at 1:00pm at the HS choir room. Come to the south side of the building, door 11. We had a good group yesterday for the first one. I know some are still out of town, but please plan to be there if you're home. It WILL be short.
Please help spread the word so we can reach everyone!

JH Parents,

We are so excited to begin a new school year and can’t wait to make music with our students!

If your child would like to get a head start on their All-Region music, we will be offering optional rehearsals during the weeks of July 20–24 and July 27–31 from 1:00–2:00 p.m.

Mondays & Wednesdays: Girls
Tuesdays & Thursdays: Boys
Fridays: Boys and Girls

These rehearsals are a great opportunity for students to become familiar with the music and get a jump on the audition process. We hope to see many of our students there, and we’re looking forward to an outstanding year together!

Attention MHS Choir members and parents!

Just a reminder that we have our first rehearsal for convocation tomorrow at 1:00pm. As stated before, I will keep these brief. The goal is 30-40 minutes. Tuesday will be our first All-State music help session. I look forward to seeing everyone and hearing the amazing sounds we're going to make this year!!

Please help get the word out as we still have many who are not in the Remind group.

If you are the parent of an incoming 9th through 12th grade choir student, would you please check with your student to make sure they are on the summer Remind group? I will be sending out schedules soon for All-State music help and Convocation rehearsals. You as the parent are also always welcome and encouraged to join. I believe the district convocation will be held the morning of August 7th. When I have more specifics, I will pass those along. This is for the high school choir.

We will have some short rehearsals on the following days:
July 20 - 1:00pm
July 22 - 1:00pm
July 27 - 1:00pm
July 29 - 1:00pm

I can adjust these based on athletic schedules. This is my preliminary plan. All choir members are expected to attend and perform. I hope to keep the rehearsals to between 15-30 minutes. Please plan on attending as many as you can.

I should have a schedule soon for All-State music help.
