Professor of Psychology Kevin Bennett led a drum circle Thursday with Associate Professor of Psychology Amy Camodeca’s class. Dr. Bennett leads drum circles on campus and in the community.

Bennett, whose research interests include immersive experiences and urban design and mental health, said he played drums in high school and college and thought it would be fun to start a drum circle with students that incorporates health and wellness.

“I’m using a technique I pioneered called the F.E.E.L. Method, which stands for focus, energy, emotions and linking. Those are all of the things you should get out of a drum circle,” he said.

Congratulations to Bryce Wagner, who was the winner of our Mario Kart tournament at the Fall Block Party on Saturday. Bryce is a ninth grader from Freedom Area High School. He and his family, including his sister Ashlynn, attended our open house in the morning and stayed to enjoy the party.

The Gray family was honored on Saturday as Penn State Beaver’s 2026 Outstanding Alumni. MaryEllen Gray accepted the award on behalf of her family, including brothers Mike and Tim.

The family was recognized for their family legacy at the campus and their continued involvement and support. Regional Chancellor Carey McDougall noted the Grays’ “passion for lifting future generations up” through their service and support.

Penn State Beaver extends a warm thank you and congratulations to the Grays.

What a fantastic day at the Penn State Beaver Fall Block Party! 🍂☀️
With sunny skies and beautiful weather, the community enjoyed delicious food trucks, a petting zoo, pumpkin painting, games, an inflatable obstacle course and slide, Touch-a-Truck with our local first responders, and great music!

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make this event such a tremendous success. We’re grateful for the volunteers, vendors, first responders, and campus partners who helped create such a fun-filled day for our community. 💙🤍

It's a little gray and rainy today, but tomorrow (Oct. 3) is going to be absolutely perfect weather for the Penn State Beaver Fall Block Party! The Lion Shrine area is decorated and ready. The tents are up, and everyone is busy preparing to welcome the community tomorrow.

The festivities are from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Ross Administration Building parking lot and on the quad. There will be food trucks and many family-friendly activities including a petting zoo, touch-a-truck, yard games, inflatables, and more! We hope to see you there.

Penn State Beaver is proud to support the United Way of Beaver County once again this year. We value the opportunity to help strengthen our community and support the important work the United Way does throughout Beaver County.

The UPMC mobile clinic eyeVan visited campus yesterday to provide free eye exams and glasses to students. The mobile van provides the same care as a traditional clinic, but it's able to come right to our students.

The eyeVan visited last spring as well and is part of on-going initiatives by our campus Health Services to provide wholistic care and wellness services to our students.
