⭐️ As First Quarter comes to a close, we want to give a BIG shout-out to our amazing Student Leadership Council! 💙🐴

These student leaders did a fantastic job helping lead our school this quarter—from Grandparents Day and Read-a-Thon to morning announcements and our book club.

We are so proud of the way they stepped up, served others, and made a difference at Mona Elementary! 🌟

Thank you, Student Leadership Council, for being great leaders! 💙

Happy Instructional Coach Appreciation Day to our amazing Mrs. Darrington! ❤️

We are SO lucky to have her at MES! She has so much knowledge and is always willing to share it, but one of the things we appreciate most about her is how much she truly cares about our students. Everything she does is focused on helping kids be successful.

She knows our students, knows our teachers, and is always willing to jump in wherever she is needed. She helps us look at what kids need, figure out what we can do differently, and celebrate all the growth along the way.

She is such a huge part of our MES team, and we honestly don’t know what we would do without her! We love you, Mrs. Darrington, and are so grateful for EVERYTHING you do! ❤️

Our 2nd graders had the best day today on their field trip to CornBelly’s! A big thank you to all the parents who came.

📚 Statewide Read-a-Thon! 📚

Today our Mustangs joined students across Utah in celebrating reading! We started with Reading Buddies and then enjoyed read-alouds, book shares, and lots of time with good books. ❤️📖

💙 Happy Custodian Appreciation Day! 💙

Today we want to give a HUGE shoutout to our amazing custodial crew—Stacey, Papa Bob, Averee, and Lynlee!
They do so much behind the scenes to keep Mona Elementary clean, safe, and ready for our students each day. But what makes them truly special goes far beyond taking care of our building. They love our kids, and our kids love them right back! 💙
They know our students, make them smile, cheer them on, and are always willing to jump in and help wherever they are needed. They each play such an important part in making Mona Elementary feel like a family.

Stacey, Papa Bob, Averee, and Lynlee—thank you for taking such great care of our school and, most importantly, for loving and taking care of our kids. We appreciate you more than you know! 💙

Today our 3rd graders visited the Fish Hatchery in Fountain Green! Students learned more about the life cycle of a fish and had the opportunity to see rainbow and tiger trout at different stages of their life cycle.🐟
