The '24 Billiards Tournament has ended, and WIU Mathematics and Philosophy Associate Professor Susie Brooks has claimed the trophy. Congratulations to all the participants for another successful year. As for the surprise, a new pool table has been installed in the WIU-QC student lounge. Last week, the Wellness and Social Committee at WIU-QC organized a chili and mac and cheese cookoff, and it was absolutely delicious! Brian Williams from WQPT PBS won the first prize for the chili section, while Josh Adams from WIU-QC Administration won the first prize for the mac and cheese section (which had brisket!). In summary, our stomachs were filled, and our morale was boosted!

WIU-QC IDEAS recently organized an open mic night event. The event was open to faculty, staff, students, family, and friends who were interested in sharing poetry, song lyrics, or any form of self-expression. The participants had five minutes each to share a passage from their own work or from the work of another author on any topic of interest. It was a wonderful event that will be remembered for a long time. πŸ’œπŸ’›
