Good Morning! God has given us a mission that may sound crazy, but we are going to do it anyway. He has spoken to us and told us that he wants his children out of public schools. He told us to offer our program on a “pay what you can” basis. If someone cannot afford any tuition, they are still welcome.
This is terrifying as currently we only have one teacher, but when God calls you to do something, you do it. Our program is normally $600 a month. Students meet Monday thru Friday at KAPA Dance studio in the Subway strip mall.
- Mondays and Fridays school is 9-12:30.
- Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday school runs 9:00-3:30.
- Drop off and pick up within a 30 minute window on each end
Once we have enough to pay an additional teacher, we will run Monday and Friday full days as well… until then, we have one teacher and need the short days for lesson planning, grading, etc.
We are an old fashion one room school house… although we have more than one room! We offer grades K-8th all in one classroom. When it is time for a subject, each group does the lessons at their ability level. We use many media sources including videos and live lectures. ACE Pace is our primary curriculum for Math, English and Word Building. We use it also for Science and Social Studies, but those subjects use other varied curriculum. We do group studies in those areas where we can all watch videos together, do reports and have posters on the walls for those topics: Explorers, Oceanography, Biology, Geography (mapping, land forms, water ways, etc), History and Economics. We have a good reading comprehension and creative writing curriculum program as well.
Our program goes all the way through high school when we have enough staff to do so. We started our program in 2019, before covid, and have had 3-18 students at varied times.
For more information on our program visit our website at: www.reachforthestarsacademy.com
We will require everyone to pay the Annual Membership Fee, the Annual Utility and Performance Fee, and the Curriculum and Supplies fees. Those can be made in up to four monthly payments if necessary. If a sponsor steps up for Curriculum and Supplies, we will let you know.
- We will also ask that if you are not paying the full rate that you find time to volunteer to help out 2-4 hours a week depending on how much you pay vs are on scholarship. Volunteer hours can be done anytime between 6am and 8pm Monday thru Friday and anytime most Saturday. Volunteer duties include, but are not limited to: cleaning, filing, preparing crafts for the following days/week, keeping the library book shelves organized (excel spread sheets and alphabetizing), listening to children read, grading papers, laminating, etc.
If your family really wants out of public school and are interested in more information, or would like to set up a time for you to interview us, and us interview you, please reach out by messenger, text or email. It is hard for us to get to the phone throughout the day with all that we have going on, so text, messenger or email is best. Again, this is a fully “pay what you can” for tuition opportunity.

We are not a non-profit, we want nothing to do with government oversite for our homeschool group. We wanted to keep it small and focus on the families who want to be here, but God has other things in mind.
We are asking for help.
TEACHERS & VOLUNTEERS: If you are a retired teacher, or a teacher that has been disenchanted with public schools we would love to have you volunteer a few hours a week to teach the subjects you like! This would be a volunteer position until funds are available to hire a teacher. If you teach music or PE. We have these classes currently twice a week at about minutes each. We would love to have your help! If you are an artist and want to work with our kiddos on art projects, let us know. We also teach life skills such as cooking, sewing, hands on small building projects and sustainability for the family. If you wanted to teach a unit on any of those, we would love you to do so! Even just volunteering in general to listen to kids read and help grade papers would be fantastic.
SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS: If you are a business, organization or private citizen who understands the importance of getting kiddos out of public school, while keeping them engaged socially with other students, maybe you would consider sponsoring a child or giving to our scholarship fund as you can.
- We are not a 503(C)3, but if you are a business, we can offer you a receipt for advertising expenses so you can write off your donation. We will put an ad for your business on our website, on a poster in our lobby and promote you on social media. If you are led to donate one time, or an ongoing basis we would be tremendously grateful and could hire more teachers!
Donations can be made in person, via electronic sources or mail. They can be anonymous or made so we can give you a proper thank you.
- Our mailing address for checks, or money orders payable to KAPA Productions: PO BOX 143, Molalla Oregon, 97038
- Donations can be made through paypay: https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=58PQPQYKGT5VG
Of course, your continued prayers for our program, our students, our teachers and our needs to be met are even more important than anything else.
We look forward to hearing from you.
