Monday's Momentum

Where does courage come from?

We tend to recognize courage after something big has happened. But I think courage often appears much earlier, and much more quietly.

It can be making the phone call you've been avoiding.

Speaking up in a meeting.

Telling someone the truth kindly.

Trying again after something didn't work.

Changing direction.

Asking for help.

Or admitting, "I don't know what comes next yet."

Joshua 1:9 has been on my mind for a while and I decided to use it for this week's message.

God calls Joshua to be strong and courageous and reminds him that he will not wak into what comes next alone.

Joshua still had to take the next step.

And, so do we.

This week, ask yourself:

Where is life asking me for a little courage right now?

You don't need courage for the next five years.

Maybe you only need enough for the next step. That's it. And then go from there.

Friday's Fun & Reflection

Before you close out this week, consider three questions:

What changed?
What do I need now?
What is one next step I can take?

Not ten steps.
Not a complete five-year plan.

One step.

Maybe it is a conversation.
Maybe it is prayer.
Maybe it is asking for help.
Maybe it is making a decision you have been avoiding.

Maybe it is simply giving yourself permission to stop pretending everything feels the same when it doesn't.

You can feel uncertain and still take the next step.

Thursday's Thoughts

What if the question isn't:

"Who do I get back to who I was?"

What if the better question is:

"Who am I becoming now?"

Change can alter our priorities, relationships, hopes, confidence, and even the way we see ouselves.

You may not need to return to an earlier version of yourself.

You may be discovering a new one.

And if faith is part of your life, perhaps this season also invites another question:

"God, what do You want me to notice here?"

You do not have to force an answer.

Sometimes the first step is simply becoming willing to listen.

Wednesday's Wisdom

One of the hardest parts of change is that other people may assume you are fine because you look fine.

You may still be working.
Showing up.
Helping everyone else.
Handling what needs to be handled.

But being capable does not mean you are unaffected.

Sometimes strength looks like admitting:

"Something has changed, and I need time to understand what this means for me."

That is not standing still.

That is becoming clear enough to move forward wisely.

Tuesday's Time & Balance

When life changes, we often respond by doing more. And more.

More planning.
More researching.
More fixing.
More trying to "get back to normal."

But smetimes what we need first is not more activity.

It is space.

A little time to notice what we are feeling, what has changed, and what we actually need now.

There is wisdom allowing yourself a moment before making the next decision.

What would change if you gave yourself permission to understand the transition before trying to solve it?

Monday's Momentum

Happy end of Labor Day Everyone (for those in the United States). Hope you have had a wonderful and safe weekend.

Now, to this week's topic, When Change Happens.

Sometimes nothing is obviously "wrong," yet something still feels off. Ever feel that way?

You might be functioning, handling responsibilities, doing what needs to be done. We are good at that, aren't we?

But inside, you may be wondering:

...why don't I feel like myself?
...what am I supposed to do nexxt?

Change doesn't always end when the event is over. Sometimes the real transition begins afterward.

This week, instead of rushing to fix everything, try this instead:

Ask yourself: "What has changed that I may still be adjusting to?"

You don't have to know the entire path at once.
You only need enough clarity for the next step.

What Became Clear?

As last week closed, what became clearer?

Not what became perfect.
Not what became completely resolved.
Just clearer.

Sometimes progress looks like a decision.
Sometimes it looks like a conversation.
Sometimes it looks like admitting what you need.
Sometimes it looks like saying,
"This matters to me, and I'm not going to keep ignoring it."

Clarity is not always loud.

Sometimes it sounds like peace.
Sometimes it sounds like courage.
Sometimes it sounds like your own voice returning.

As you move into the new week, consider this:

What did I learn about myself last week?
What do I need (and want) to carry forward into this week?
What can I release?
What is my next aligned step?

You do not have to move fast to move forward.

You just have to keep returning to what is true.

The Cost of Staying Foggy

There is a cost to staying in the fog too long. It can cost us energy, peace, confidence, time, focus and sometimes even lost opportunities.

This doesn't mean we rush decisions. It means we stop abandoning ourselves in the name of waiting.

There is a difference between a wise pause and staying stuck.

A wise pause gives us space to listen.
Staying stuck keeps us circling the same fear.

Returning to clarity means asking:

What am I tolerating this is draining me?
What decision needs my attention?
Where am I waiting for perfect certainty before taking a faithful step?

You may not need a dramatic overhaul.

You may simply need one clean decision.

One boundary.
One conversation.
One calendar commitment.
One action that tells your life, "I am participating again!"

Reflection question:
What is one small decision that would restore my energy or peace?

Wednesday's Post (June 17)

You Do Not Need the Whole Map

Sometimes we delay action because we do not have the whole map right now.

We want the full plan.
The guaranteed outcome.
The perfect timing.
The absence of fear.

But most meaningful transitions do not work that way.

Often, we are given enough light for the next step, not the entire staircase.

That can make us feel uncomfortable, especially for those of us who like structure, systems, plans, calendars, and at least a basic idea of where the exit doors are (that's me, what about you?)

Clarity and certainty are not the same thing.

Certainty says, "I must know how everything will turn out."

Clarity, however, says, "I know the next right step. And for now, that's enough for me to move forward."

That is enough to begin.

Encouragement for today:

You do not have to solve your entire next chapter today.
You only need to identify the next honest, aligned step.
