ABove the Clouds (ABC)

Parenting and teaching little ones with special needs can create a sense of urgency or low-grade frustration. We want so much for them and we want them to "catch up". It is important to provide extra help and repetition and encouragement! But it is also so powerful to take deep breaths, observe, and enjoy! The caregivers' sense of calm and optimism is just what every baby needs to feel trust and confidence.

Spend some time in front of the mirror with your little one. Share smiles. Touch noses. Wave! Help them see how many things you can do together . . . help yourself see how completely cute and amazing that little individual is and how they see YOU, too!

We had a "Showers & Flowers" play date in time for real showers! The "flowers" were arguably the children, themselves!

Sometimes, when we are trying to teach a child a certain skill, it can be hard to realize they are experiencing so many others at the same time: movement, socialization, language, and many more. Focus is important but so is enjoying the moment!

ABove the Clouds is taking applications! We need another Early Interventionist as well as one more Physical Therapist.
College degree/license required. Home visiting only.

Pumpkin Patch 2025 seemed better than ever! The kids weren't cuter, exactly, but a case could be made....plus we managed to be there after a freshening rain not during it AND our two new staff members, Lorena and Nikki, joined right in!
