Back to School Night | 6:00–7:00 p.m.
We are excited to welcome Sylvan STEAM families for an evening of connection, information, and partnership!

Classroom Grade Level Presentations 
(at STEAM, we hold grade level wide sessions, see map at the gate entrances)

• Session 1: 6:00–6:25 p.m.
• Session 2: 6:30–6:50 p.m.

Our evening presentation will also include:
An opening video for our Title I Parent Meeting to kick off the first session
Information about joining a school committee:
• School Site Council (SSC)
• English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC)

We are also excited to welcome our community partners:
PTO – Spirit Wear sales
Girl Scouts Heart of Central California
Valley Air

Sylvan STEAM Fundraiser: Help Put More Books in the Hands of Local Kids! 

We’re partnering with dd’s DISCOUNTS to support student literacy and help provide our scholars with greater access to literacy-rich experiences and books!

💙 Make a purchase and a portion of the proceeds will support the Sylvan STEAM December Book Giveaway.

📅 Donate by August 30 to help kids in our community!

This morning, Sylvan STEAM practiced two safety drills: Secure and Evacuate. Teachers also reviewed safety protocols as we begin the new school year. Our students impressed us with their preparedness and commitment to keeping everyone safe!

TOMORROW Wednesday is a minimum day, school ends at 1:40 pm

Volunteers Needed: Join us for Chalk the Walk Sylvan STEAM Academy

We are looking for community volunteers to decorate school sidewalks with happy messages and images to welcome students and staff back to school. This is a simple and uplifting way to support our school community on the first day.

No art experience is needed, but please be prepared to kneel or sit on the ground. We will provide all chalk. Please remember to bring items to protect yourself from the sun and weather.

You’re Invited: Lunch with a Loved One Tuesday May 19

Save the Date for our special Lunch with a Loved One on Tuesday, May 19! We are excited to welcome families to campus for a fun picnic-style lunch with their scholars during their child’s lunch block. We look forward to creating a memorable afternoon together!

STEAM Families, please take note -- we will have a MINIMUM DAY on TUESDAY for Open House. Wednesday is also a MINIMUM DAY, and the last Wednesday minimum day of the year.

We did it again! 🎉

Sylvan STEAM showed up and showed out—taking home ALL district attendance prizes and surpassing the 95% attendance goal!

We are incredibly grateful to our amazing families and scholars for showing up each day ready to learn, grow, and have fun.
