Celebrating teacher and staff appreciation next week Disney style.

Congratulations to our very own Mrs Anderson! Thank you for all your support, inspiration and leadership you have given to all our students at Mary Ann Sanders⚓️

Tonight, we had the incredible honor of celebrating our 14 2025-2026 Teacher of the Year recipients at our board meeting. 💚🍎 (and we got them all in one picture!)

Hearing each of their stories was deeply moving! Each one a powerful reminder that teaching is so much more than a profession; it is a calling rooted in love, patience, and an unwavering belief in students. Our educators pour their hearts into their classrooms and into the lives of every child they serve, leaving a lasting impact for years to come.

Seeing their families, colleagues, and support teams there to celebrate them made the evening even more meaningful. ♥️ As Superintendent Didi Peterson expressed, behind every great educator is a community of people who support, encourage, and believe in them, and it was beautiful to witness that love and pride tonight! Thank you to everyone for joining us this evening and helping make it a special celebration. The cheers, flowers, signs made by students and hugs were incredible.

We are incredibly blessed to have such an extraordinary team of educators in Sylvan Union School District! Our staff show up every day not just to teach, but to inspire, uplift, and change lives. They do everything they can for our students, their families, and each other, and our schools are better because of them.
