Tonight’s the night!

Join The Modesto Focus in celebrating the one-year anniversary of our launch at a special Reader Appreciation Night. Meet with the staff of local journalists and talk about the issues that matter to you here in the Valley.

The event will feature a taco party for everyone (first-come, first-serve), with free drink tickets available for donors.

Mark your calendars for 6-8 p.m. Thursday Aug. 20 on the patio at Contentment Brewing Co., 208 Campus Way, Modesto. Shade structures available on the patio, and you are welcome to go inside for AC breaks as well.

Free street parking available in the surrounding area.

Ready to learn the game or sharpen your skills? Join us for a 4-session Pickleball Clinic at Graceada Park’s pickleball courts! 😄

📅 Dates: 8/13 - 9/3
🕘 Time: Every Thursday at 8 AM
📍 Location: Graceada Park Pickleball Courts, 401 Needham Street
👥 Ages: 13+

This clinic covers basic fundamentals, including grips, scoring, movement drills, movement drills, and game strategies. Lessons are taught over four consecutive Thursdays, and pickleball racquets will be provided for participants to use.
