Please know that Davie High Student Services supports students throughout the year in completing the Ignite Davie process. If your student is interested, have them let us know at the beginning of their Senior year so we can get started.

The Class of 2026 Baccalaureate Service will be held on May 31 at 6:30pm at First United Methodist Church in Mocksville. This is not a Davie High or Davie County Schools sponsored event. This is a time for members of the Class of 2026 and their loved ones to come together for a religious celebration that honors a graduating class from a college, high school, or middle school. Unlike the massive commencement exercises held in stadiums, baccalaureate ceremonies offer a quieter, more intimate opportunity to pause and reflect on this rite of passage.

Davie High Seniors and Parents - there are multiple scholarships with deadlines next week. Many of you will not get an award letter (or a bill) for at least 4-6 weeks. By then it will be too late to apply for scholarships. Do NOT let these opportunities pass you by. Do not wait until the night before either. Here is a list of scholarships with deadlines next week.

Golden Leaf Scholarship
Deadline: March 1, 2026 (application opens 1/12/2026)
Open to graduating seniors who are planning to continue their education at one of the participating colleges/universities. For that list please click here. Students must also meet additional criteria.

Horatio Alger Scholarships
Deadline: March 1, 2026
Open to all graduating seniors. This is a database of scholarships that you may be eligible for. It is one application for all scholarships.

NC ADK Eunice Riggins Memorial Scholaship
Deadline: March 1, 2026
Open to any graduating female student who meets the eligibility requirements. Please be sure to read all directions.

NC ADK Mary Rose Mills-Linda Rankin Memorial Scholarship
Deadline: March 1, 2026
Open to any graduating student planning to enroll in a four-year college Fall 2026 who meets the listed eligibility requirements.

NC ADK Clare Johnson Marley-Mary Earle Berger Fine Arts Scholarship
Deadline: March 1, 2026
Open to any graduating student, planning to enroll in a four-year college/university Fall 2026 who plans to enter a Fine Arts program.

NC Community Foundation Scholarships
Deadline: March 3, 2026
This is one application for many different scholarships that most seniors may be qualified for. All students planning to continue their education should complete this application.

State Employee's Credit Union "People Helping People" Scholarship
Deadline: March 4, 2026
Open to all graduating seniors planning to continue their education next year at one of the 16 UNC system schools, and who are members or children of members of the State Employee's Credit Union. This scholarship is valued at $10,000 an is paid over four years ($2,500 per year). There are several components to the scholarship, but you must start with the membership verification form (that form may not go live until December 15). Please be sure you read all attachments.
