Phoenix family and friends, please be sure to pick up/drop off your student/child at the designated location as indicated on our traffic flow map (scroll down to earlier post). Students should not be walking down to cars at the first stop sign or other locations other than that designated. This ensures safety but also a smooth pick up/drop off experience for all. Thanks!

A sincere thank you to all the hands that made today's annual Beginning of the Year Cookout possible! To our families, Early College Staff, Child Nutrition program and greater school family today was the first of many wonderful memories made within these school walls.

Today I saw upperclassmen connect with freshmen...I saw old friends pick up right where they left off....I saw big smiles and hearts full of joy...I heard an entire school body cheer for the class of 2027 and welcome our new Phoenix the class of 2030. I saw a school come together and clean up to the point you can barely tell a huge party just occurred.

If today is any indication of the year we have in store for us we're in pretty good shape! We hope everyone has a great, safe, restful weekend!

Davie County Early College is in need of one more speaker for our 26-27 Fall Speaking series. All dates have been snatched up by some amazing Davie County organizations. We need one more person/group to partner with us on August 21st. Happy Wednesday Phoenix Families! A few reminders as we prepare for tomorrow's first day of school. Attached you will find the DDCC/DCECHS Traffic Pattern for pick up and drop off. Our SRO and security personnel will assist in the morning/afternoon. Our greatest priority is the safety of your child. Doors open at 8am and students may not enter the building until that time. Breakfast will be available and 1st period will start promptly at 8:35am. OpenGate will be utilized each morning like year's past. Our day will end at 12 noon these first seven days. Remember elementary shuttles will run tomorrow through next Friday and that schedule can be found on this page and our school website. Have a great evening and we will see you tomorrow morning!!

What a wonderful Open House last night! We were so busy connecting with our students and families I don't believe we grabbed any pictures. Thank you for braving the rain to come get schedules, meet with teachers, and catch up with friends. We look forward to see you all tomorrow morning!

Our yearbook team are starting the year off with a bang with an awesome raffle with truly sweet back to school gear/snacks. See the pics below! We truly have a yearbook team like no other.
