I've been negligent posting lately, but here are some great 4th period students tending our herb containers in the courtyard! A great way to spend one of our last class periods!!! Thank you again Lowe's of Mocksville for the donation in the fall, and thank you Eli Lindsey, Horticulture teacher at Davie High School, for today's additions!

Another "Shark Tank" in the books! The Food and Nutrition 2 students did a great job with their entrepreneurship project presentations today. It always amazes me how they rise to the challenge!

A huge THANK YOU to our faculty judges! You gotta love a teacher that will give up their entire planning period to support students...and we have some of the best around! I love this county!

She visited my Food and Nutrition class combined with Mr. Young's Entrepreneurship class last week to speak about how she started her own business. Thank you for sharing your experience and insights with our students, and for the fabulous cookies you gifted them!

A little different class experience today! We had the BEST time filling the school's plant containers in the courtyard with herbs to be used by our Culinary Arts & Hospitality class.

HUGE thank you to Mr. Aaron Fender of Lowe's Home Improvement in Mocksville, NC for the donation of plants and potting soil! We would not have been able to take on this project without your support.

Please go out and support our community partner that was so very generous to us. They have a beautiful array of fall plants to choose from. Contrary to what some may think, this is actually a wonderful time to get some plants in the ground! Herbs that over-winter well are Rosemary, Oregano, Sage, Thyme, and Lavender. The Rosemary plants that were gifted to us are beautiful. We'll keep you updated with their progress!
