South Alabama's Society of Women Engineers

Come visit Tanya Fratto TOMORROW, January 22nd at 2:00pm in Shelby Hall, room 2117! A graduate of electrical engineering . She has wide experience in product innovation, profit and loss, sales and marketing and engineering in a range of sectors. She also has extensive knowledge of operating in the US. She enjoyed a successful 20-year career with General Electric where she ran a number of businesses and built an experience base in product management, operations, Six Sigma and supply chain management. She pursued a successful 25-year career with GE, working in a number of senior roles including roles in GE Plastics, Corporate Sourcing, GE Appliances, GE Consumer Service and GE’s Superabrasives businesses. Her responsibilities allowed her to build a skill set in operations, supply chain management, marketing, product management, Six Sigma, profit and loss and portfolio management. She began her career in General Electric’s Manufacturing Management Program where the two years program allowed her to explore various assignments in operations with GE’s Aerospace Businesses. Food will be provided, so bring a friend! 😊

Thanks to all who contributed to Welcome to the Jungle this year!!! We had a great turn out and want YOU to join the Society of Women Engineers. SWE is having a joint meeting with BMES next Tuesday, Sept. 25th at 12:30pm in Shelby Hall room 2214. The students who will be speaking are: Lina Abou Salah, Joshua Deal, Meredith Gwin, and Sunita Subedi Paudel. Food will be provided so feel free to bring a friend! 😊
