Root & Rise was created with a simple but powerful mission: to empower girls and young women ages 12–21 throughout Mobile, Alabama with the confidence, knowledge, mentorship, and support they need to thrive. We believe every young woman deserves access to opportunities that help her discover her purpose, develop leadership skills, build healthy relationships, and create a future she is proud of. Through mentorship, educational workshops, community engagement, and personal development programs, we are committed to helping young women establish strong roots and rise into their full potential.

Our vision is to create a community where young women feel seen, heard, valued, and equipped to succeed. We look forward to partnering with families, educators, community leaders, and local organizations to provide resources and opportunities that inspire growth, resilience, and achievement. This is just the beginning, and we are excited to grow alongside the young women we serve. 🎉 BIG NEWS FOR OP4! 🎶📸🎧

Opportunity 4 Entertainers & Performing Arts is proud to announce that the Alabama State Council on the Arts has awarded our OP4 Media & Music Production Course a $25,000 grant to support our 2026–2027 Music Education Program!

This funding will help us continue empowering youth and adults through hands-on training in:

🎤 Music Production

🎧 DJing & Live Sound

🎬 Media & Podcasting

📱 Digital Media & Content Creation

We are excited to continue creating opportunities, building careers, and developing the next generation of creative leaders throughout Mobile and Baldwin County.

Congratulations 🎉 🎉

Congratulations to the 42 MCPSS seniors from Baker, B.C. Rain, Blount, Davidson, LeFlore, Mary G. Montgomery, Murphy, Theodore, and Williamson high schools who are among those who recently signed to begin careers with construction companies through the Academy of Craft Training program. Through ACT, these students have trained in a true, hands-on, simulated jobsite environment—gaining real-world skills in Commercial Construction, Electrical Construction, HVACR & Mechanical Systems, Industrial Metal Fabrication, and Interior & Exterior Finishes. They’ve learned to read blueprints, operate tools and equipment, wire and troubleshoot electrical systems, install and maintain HVAC units, weld and fabricate materials, and complete finishing work, all while following industry safety standards and OSHA protocols. This program equips students with the technical skills, certifications, and experience needed to step directly into high-demand careers with confidence.
