I'm in the process of deciding to shut this page down (due to the cost of maintaining a separate website, which expires shortly), and lack of interest. So, soon I will be only posting on my own personal page i think. If necessary, people can always find my patterns on Ravelry. https://www.ravelry.com/designers/heidi-sunday

My Recent projects. What about you?

I wore these the other day when I was teaching at Friends & Fiberworks , but I wasn’t sure where or when I got the yarn, and did I ever post about it? yes I did. I got the yarn in Florence, Italy, and I am checking daily to see if I am ready to book my next visit. I’m crazy about knitting in general but socks are my all-time favorite for portability and relaxing fun.

Some of my latest projects. The sweater is called “Ripplejacket” (all one word) on Ravelry. Lots of fun to knit and it’s hard to keep from making another one! That’s a sign of a good project. The headband is another, that one is from the crochet pattern called “Adora”, its a hat and has a hand band option. I like the headband best and have made lots of them over the years, since I learned the foundation chain concept from my great friend, Carol. Several of us are taking a trip to in a few days.

We will have knitting machines for rent (or bring your own) and learn the skills you need to make a baby sweater. More about this later.

Knitting two socks at one time with one circular needle. Not for beginners but a truly fabulous way to make them. And, with a Fleegle Heel: that means a great fit and no holes like with short rows. Learn how on some baby socks and get all the skills you will use over and over for many more pairs. I will be teaching this technique at festivals this year.

Is there a law about gloves matching? Asking for a friend. These will always be a lovely reminder of my Christmas trip to Italy.

I just finished my “Geology” scarf. Funny how a favorite color makes you feel so good. And the stitch sampler keeps you interested and feeling so clever. Storebought just doesn’t do the same thing.
