Our intent as Government Street Christian School is to provide the highest quality of academic programs in a loving, encouraging, positive, and safe Christian setting. We look forward to a long-term relationship with you, as we partner together in guiding your child into a successful and meaningful academic future. ADMISSION PROCEDURE
Government Street Christian School exists to offer quality education in a safe and Christian environment. Students will therefore be carefully selected in order to maintain a student body of high academic and moral caliber. All new students are given a placement test. Students must pass the placement test at grade level. Students must be in good standing academically and socially, and in the area of discipline with their previous school to be accepted. GSCS does not have the facilities or the personnel to effectively work with extreme or behavioral problems or those students with acute academic deficiencies. It should be added that every student accepted will be expected to demonstrate a genuine interest in pursuing his/her education in harmony with the standards and purposes of GSCS and will be required to sign a statement to that effect at the beginning of the school year. These requirements are not intended to present a hardship to anyone who is a potentially acceptable student but rather they are set forth to help select the type of students who can best be served by the program offered. By choice, the applicant obligates himself/herself to the ideals of GSCS. Acceptance shows the schools faith in the student. Enrollment is granted on a year-by-year basis. Government Street Christian School does not discriminate in any way in its admission policies with regard to s*x, race, creed or national origin. AGE LIMIT
Students entering Government Street Kindergarten or First Grade must reach the age required by the Alabama public school system for that grade by September 1 of that year.

🎉 GSCS Summer Camp Fun in the Gym! 🎉

Our campers brought BIG smiles and even bigger energy to the gym as they played parachute games together! 🪂💛 From bouncing balls to running underneath the colorful waves, the laughter and teamwork filled the whole room.

It’s always a joy watching our campers learn how to take turns, cooperate, and celebrate each other while having so much fun. Moments like these are what summer camp memories are made of! ☀️✨

Our GSCS Summer Camp campers had an incredible opportunity to visit the Medical Museum! From exploring fascinating exhibits to learning about the human body and the history of medicine, our campers were engaged, curious, and excited to discover something new.

Our GSCS Summer Camp campers enjoyed an exciting trip to the Mobile Public Library! From exploring new books and listening to engaging stories to learning and using their imaginations, it was a day full of discovery and fun.

We love providing opportunities for our campers to explore the community, foster a love of reading, and create lasting memories with friends. A big thank you to the library staff for welcoming us and making our visit so special!
