This week in small group with Mrs. Britton and Ms. McIntosh, our little learners worked hard practicing important pre-literacy and pre-numeracy skills! ๐๐ข Students engaged in hands-on activities focused on letter recognition, matching uppercase and lowercase letters, identifying numbers, counting, and building early vocabulary skills. Through interactive games, sorting activities, and teacher-guided instruction, students strengthened the foundational skills needed for future reading and math success. We are so proud of their hard work, participation, and growing confidence as learners! โจ๐๏ธ! ๐๐

In honor of Mother's Day, Mrs. Bennett and Mrs. Thamesโ class created special handprint cards to show love, gratitude, and appreciation for their mothers. Through this meaningful activity, students expressed their creativity while strengthening positive relationships with the important people in their lives. We are so proud of the thoughtfulness and care they put into each card!

Mrs. Shoemaker and Ms. Jacksonโs class worked on identifying and creating patterns during small group activities. Students were divided into groups of two and three to work together using pattern boards to identify, extend, and create repeating patterns. Students discussed the sequences with their peers and collaborated to determine what came next in each pattern.

Young scientists in Ms. Warren and Mrs. Alexanderโs class explored different shells and discovered the sounds we can hear when holding them up to our ears. As part of our study of sea animals this week, children used their senses to observe, listen, and learn more about ocean life through this hands-on science activity. Children enjoyed exploring the textures, shapes, and sounds of the shells while sharing their discoveries with class mates.
