Eta Kappa Nu (HKN) officers for 2019-2020, (above left to right) Elizabeth Thames, Lauren McDaniel, and Alysa San Filippo attended the annual IEEE-HKN Student Leadership Conference held this year in Boston, MA. The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and HKN faculty advisor is Dr. Jinhui Wang.
IEEE-HKN is the international honor society of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). The organization promotes excellence in the profession and in education through an emphasis on scholarship, character, and attitude. The students' travel was partially sponsored by the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of South Alabama. Main financial support came from the University of South Alabama Student Government Association (SGA). Hi ECE winners!
We will be having the IEEE Student Branch meeting tomorrow at 12:45pm in SHEC 4107. This meeting we will begin by hosting Mr. Mike Nichols, a manager in Ingalls Shipbuilding then we will hold the officer elections afterwards. (If you are thinking about running for an officer position, please plan to attend the meeting or send a representative to nominate in your place.)
We will be serving food and refreshments. This event is sponsored by ECE department for E-Week winners.
