Lights, camera, action! 🎬 These amazing 5th graders were nominated for the 2026 MCPSS Film Festival for the 3–5 Short Film category, held at Murphy High School on April 24th. We are so proud of their creativity, hard work, and shining talent on the big screen! 🌟

Our Student Council leaders had an amazing opportunity to visit Bishop State and connect with leaders from our local community college! 🎓✨ Students gained valuable insight into leadership, higher education, and the importance of serving their school and community with excellence. A special shoutout to Mrs. Gavin, our school counselor, for making this incredible experience possible for our students! Thank you to Bishop State for inspiring our future leaders!

Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week, and I want to make sure we take a moment to celebrate the amazing educators who pour their hearts into our children every single day! 🍎

Our teachers do so much more than just teach — they encourage, inspire, and go above and beyond to make sure every student has the chance to succeed. From staying after school to staying up late planning lessons, they give so much of themselves, and it truly makes a difference.

Let’s show them how much we care! Whether it’s a heartfelt thank you note or a small gift — it ALL matters. No gesture is too big or too small.
