There are teachers who teach subjects. And then there are teachers who teach souls. Dr. Fagbongbe teaches English and Psychology, but somewhere between the novels, life lessons, classroom conversations, and the snack drawer she always keeps stocked, sheโs really teaching our Saints something bigger: ๐๐ต๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ต๐ฒ๐ ๐บ๐ฎ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฟ. Congratulations Dr. F on your Golden Apple Award! You truly are one of a kind, and we are endlessly grateful you call St. Paulโs home.๐๐

As many of you may have seen, one of our youngest Saints, sweet PreK student Lainey Owens, has begun a very difficult journey as she undergoes cancer treatment.
In true St. Paulโs fashion, our students have already begun finding ways to surround Lainey and her family with love and encouragement. On Monday, May 18, students are invited to wear a pink or purple shirt with their regular uniform bottoms in honor of Lainey as she continues her fight.
Thank you for helping us show what it means to be Saints for one another. ๐ฉท๐

We wrapped up another beautiful year of the St. Paulโs Dance Program in partnership with Mobile Ballet with our spring recital - and goodness, our Saints danced their hearts out!
The Arts matter here. They teach courage, discipline, creativity, and the quiet kind of confidence that follows a child long after the curtain closes. We are so proud of every Saint who stepped onto that stage and shined! ๐ค๐ฉฐ๐ค

At 3 PM today, we ask our St. Paulโs family and friends to pause and say a prayer for our sweet PreK Saint, Lainey Owens, as she begins her first cancer treatment. Lainey is only 5 years old, with the kind of smile that can soften even the hardest day. Today, her little body begins a very big fight. So we pray for courage bigger than fear. For peace bigger than the unknown. And we pray that Lainey and her family feel wrapped in love from every corner of this community today and in all the days ahead. ๐ฉท๐

Last night was Baccalaureate. Which is a fancy word for: โWe gathered together one more time before these Seniors go change the world.โ And somewhere between the hymns and the blessings, it hit us. This was never just about graduation caps and diplomas. It was about becoming. About sending these Saints into the world with faith in their hearts, courage in their bones, and the reminder that no matter where life takes them, they will always have a home here.
Saturday they graduate.
Last night, we prayed them forward. ๐ค

Some Saints can throw a football. Some Saints can solve calculus. And some can take a blank canvas and make you feel something.
Join us tonight at 5:30 PM in the Upper School Art Gallery for our AP Art Show featuring the incredible work of our Saints. ๐จ
