Mobile District Commander speaks with South Alabama students 05/18/2026

Students from Dr. Willie Patterson’s Introduction to U.S. Government and Comparative Politics classes recently enjoyed a visit from U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Col. Kelcey Shaw.

Col. Shaw discussed his career as an Army officer and his extensive experience in the federal government. These are the types of speakers Dr. Patterson often invites into the classroom to share real-world professional opportunities, and perhaps inspire South students to consider federal service.
