And just like that, the 2025-2026 school year is behind us.
It feels like we were just watching nervous kindergartners find their classrooms and seniors in their first day crowns… now here we are.
This year had all of it: athletic records were broken, a visit from the mayor, Golden Apple teachers, a trip to New York and San Antonio, brave elementary performances, a classroom turned hospital and so many more moments that reminded us why this place is different.
To every student who worked hard, every parent who showed up, and every teacher and coach who poured into these kids… thank you.

As the school year winds down, we’re taking a moment to celebrate one of our favorite moments from the classroom.
Mrs. Robin Speese transformed her 3rd grade room into an operating room, where students traded pencils for surgical tools and tackled their lessons through hands-on “procedures” like comma surgery.
It’s exactly the kind of creative, dedicated teaching that makes MCS special, and we can’t wait to see what is in store for next year!

Congratulations to our K5 graduating class!
Last week, these students received their diplomas and wrapped up a wonderful year of kindergarten. The program included the “ABC’s of Growing Up” - a long-time tradition here at MCS and these students did an excellent job. Thank you to our K5 teachers who go above and beyond every year to create a wonderful graduation program!

Last week was Teacher Appreciation Week and we are grateful for every single teacher on our campus. Scripture calls us to “do everything as unto the Lord,” and our teachers live that out every single day. We want to say a special congratulations to our award-recipients:
Julia Grace Norwood was named Elementary Teacher of the Year. According to her own students and colleagues, she leads with a joyful spirit, loves her students deeply, and brings her faith into everything she does.
Anthony Jackson was named Secondary Teacher of the Year. From the classroom to the football field to the bowling alley, he shows up fully with enthusiasm and a genuine commitment to pointing students toward Christ.
And the 2026 Jubilee yearbook was dedicated to Mrs. Katy Aldred. In her 18 years at MCS she has built a library that feels like a community, and a legacy that speaks for itself.
We are so grateful for teachers who love their students well. THANK YOU MCS TEACHERS!
