High season for study abroad at South is well underway and it’s time to highlight the amazing programs we offer to our adventurous Jags!
Check out our USA Biology in the Galapagos program, led by the legendary Dr. Juan Mata. In partnership with Universidad San Francisco de Quito, students explore numerous subjects, from farming sustainability at Hacienda Tranquilla to laboratory work that seeks the connections between human, animal and environmental health. In just two weeks, students can earn up to 4 credit hours towards their degree.
At South, our faculty-led programs prioritize hands on experiential learning that not only keeps students engaged, but also opens up the opportunity for learning about the world around them. In our opinion, there is no better way to learn than by exploring unknown.
Thanks Dr. Mata and the Biology Department for being huge supporters of study abroad!

Whether it’s studying medicine in London, practicing rural healthcare in India, or exploring visual art in Italy, we have experiences that will fit your academic, personal, or professional goals!
So the only question that remains… where will you go?

Last week, GlobalUSA celebrated a huge milestone with students, friends and family before students walked the stage. It’s an event we look forward to every semester and this year, we are proud to say we had a packed house!
This year, we had over 160 graduating study abroad students - that’s over half of what we send abroad in a single summer! We are so proud of each and every one of you, and humbled that you chose study abroad to be apart of your journey here at South.
Congratulations to Class of 2026 - our study abroad alumni, exchange students (Ena, Rio and Côme -we’ll miss you!) and our full-time international students. We wish you the best!
