My name is Wendy Hogan and I am so excited to be working with the K3 through 5th grade students this year in Art! I have been a teaching, in some capacity since my junior year of high school (1989) when I was an arts & crafts instructor in my church’s after school program! I grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and attended Louisiana Tech where I studied as an elementary education major. In 1993, I transferred to Mobile College where I graduated in 1997 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing. As a student, I pursued art in every elective opportunity available to me as well as through classes offered through adult education. As an artist I primarily work with watercolor, acrylics, and recently began learning to use pastels. I love teaching kids about our Creator, God, through studying His creation in science and through being creative as artists!
My husband, Michael, and I have been married for 30 years. We have three sons; Jack (25), Andrew (21), and Will (19) are all in college/grad school at both Auburn and South Alabama. I enjoy spending time painting, gardening, fishing, thrifting, and being with our cherished friends and family.
