Meet Jason Williamson!
Jason is the staff biologist and the go to for animal care assistance. Jason is from Mobile and actually grew up very close to the ESC. He is a graduate of Theodore High School and the University of West Alabama. He and his wife Courtney have two sons. In addition to his love of animals and their welfare, he’s also a really good mechanic.
We are so fortunate to have Jason join us. You can reach him at 251-300-1691 with your animal care questions.

Hello friends. This is Dr. Jay, Director. Here at the ESC we love all animals. We are grateful to have a relationship with The City of Mobile Animal Services. I have had the privilege of fostering this late litter baby found on her own. Miss. Winnie here is about 4 weeks. She eats well and is already a snuggle bunny. She needs a good home. She looks like she will be a tortoise shell which are the sweetest kitties. If you are interested in her you can reach me at [email protected] for adoption information. She is healthy and spay and first vaccines will come with her adoption. Please help us find this baby a great home and also consider fostering. It’s been a privilege to be a part of getting her ready for her forever home.

We have had an exciting and productive week here at the ESC. We were honored to host Dr. Robyn Miller, Director, and Katie Pnewski, Raptor Specialist III, from the Auburn University Raptor Center.
We learned so much from them regarding the training and husbandry of raptors. They gave us so many excellent ideas. It was incredible hearing how they train and prepare their animals, especially around the game day rituals. Thank you so much!

We’re proud to congratulate Sharon Reeves on being selected as Women in Fire’s State Representative for Alabama! 🚒🔥

This is a huge honor for Sharon and a great reflection on the kind of people we’re fortunate to have here at Theodore Dawes Fire Rescue.

Women in Fire is an international organization dedicated to championing female leadership and participation throughout the fire and emergency services. In her role as Alabama’s State Representative, Sharon will help support statewide outreach and events, build partnerships, share training and conference opportunities, and encourage participation among women throughout Alabama’s fire service.

Sharon has always been a strong advocate for the fire service and for the people in it, and we know she’ll represent Alabama, Women in Fire, and TDFR extremely well.

Congratulations, Sharon! We’re proud to have you representing our department and our state! 👏🔥
