Congratulations to Harrison Puckett, a graduate student in the computer science program, for winning the diploma frame giveaway from the Science and Technology Career Fair! 🎉 Harrison’s advice to students attending a career fair: “Have a general idea of what you’re looking for from a company or other employment opportunity. You should also always come to a career table with questions to ask them.”

Tiara Smith is a junior Marketing Management major, and is the winner of the diploma frame giveaway from the Business & Communications Career Fair! 🎉
Tiara’s advice to students attending a career fair: “Prepare before you arrive. Research companies you’re interested in and bring updated copies of your resume with relevant experience.
Ask meaningful questions, be yourself, and focus on building genuine connections. It’s not about talking to everyone it’s about making a few connections that actually matter.”

Rachel Crapps is a senior K-6 Teacher Education major, and is the winner of the diploma frame giveaway from the Education Career Fair! 🎉
Rachel’s advice to students attending career fairs: “If I could offer any advice to college students attending a career fair, it would be to go in with a sense of purpose rather than treating it like just another campus event. As a senior getting ready to graduate, I’ve learned that a little preparation and confidence can go a long way. Have a general idea of what you want, be ready to talk about yourself, and don’t be afraid to start conversations, even if it feels a bit uncomfortable at first. What really makes a difference is being genuine and showing interest, instead of just going through the motions. And even after it’s over, taking a moment to follow up can help you stand out and keep those connections going.”
