The South Alabama National Alumni Association has been busy working on plans for the 2026 football season! This year, we will be hosting TWO tailgates in Jag City. For all other games, you can visit us on Jag Row to purchase buttons, become a member, and rep your alumni pride.

Saturday, September 5, will be a Member Appreciation tailgate, and Saturday, October 3, will be our annual Homecoming tailgate. More details to come!

South Alabama Wins Sun Belt-Leading 17th Vic Bubas Cup - University of South Alabama Athletics MOBILE, Ala. – The Sun Belt Conference announced Tuesday that South Alabama Athletics has won the Vic Bubas Cup for the 2025-26 school year.

Young Alumni Award Nominations

The Lisa Bethea Kavanagh Outstanding Young Alumni Award recognizes a USA graduate (40 years of age or younger) for their early career accomplishments, the impact of their community service and volunteer efforts, and personal development. The award is presented to acknowledge alumni who show promise of significant professional distinction.

Shaping South: The Jaguar Marching Band

The Jaguar Marching Band (JMB) was established in 2009 with 140 members, inspired by a student petition in 2007. Growing to 230 members by their fourth season, today, the JMB proudly has over 275 members.

Over the years, the JMB has experienced tremendous growth and exposure. This year, the JMB moved into its new home: the Geri and Gordon Moulton Jaguar Marching Band Complex. The nearly 25,000-square-foot complex features a full ensemble rehearsal hall, dedicated drumline and color guard studios, dressing rooms, administrative offices, a music library, and expanded storage for uniforms, instruments, props, and equipment. The complex also includes a full-size, lighted practice field built to match the Abraham A. Mitchell Field at Hancock Whitney Stadium, providing student-musicians with a true game-day rehearsal experience.
