Yondr Pouches:
A $25 fee will be collected from each student for purchase of a Yondr pouch. Students will receive a new or unused pouch. Any student who loses or damages the pouch that he or she originally purchased will be allowed to purchase another pouch for $25. Any student who does not pay the $25 fee will not be allowed to bring a cell phone on campus for any reason.

Clear Backpacks:
Any backpack utilized by any student during the 2026-2027 school year MUST BE CLEAR.
Mobile County Public Schools WILL NOT provide clear backpacks for students to utilize during the 2026-2027 school year. Parents are responsible for providing clear backpacks for their children.
All content stored in any backpack utilized by any MCPSS student MUST be visible from all sides of the backpack.
No stickers, markings, tint, or anything else should be placed on any backpack that prevents clear view of the contents.

Attention parents and guardians:
Summer School will be held at Craighead Elementary this year. The dates are June 29-July 23. Registration will be held on June 24 from 7:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at Craighead Elementary. More information will be given out at registration.

New for the upcoming school year:
In order for students to have a cell phone on campus they must pay a $25 fee for the use of a Yondr pouch. Also, students must use a clear bag-no exceptions. They will not be provided this year.

Sign up for the summer reading program at the Mobile Public Library! The Summer Library Celebration kickoff will be held on Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon at the Ben May Main Library, 701 Government Street in downtown Mobile. This free event will include activities, face-painting, music, and numerous booths from community vendors. Those who sign up for the summer reading program are eligible for prizes!
