I first want to say how incredibly proud I am of my students and the hard work they have put in this semester. In a high school band program, so much happens in such a short amount of time, and these students have balanced an extremely busy schedule. To successfully make it through the entire Mardi Gras season while also preparing for concert band is truly a testament to their ability, dedication, and commitment to making THEIR program better.

For the first time in years, the Lillie B. Williamson High School Concert Band attended the Alabama Bandmasters Association District 7 Music Performance Assessment. I am proud to share that the band received Excellent ratings on stage and a Superior rating in sight-reading. This accomplishment reflects the effort, discipline, and teamwork these students bring every day.

We want to sincerely thank everyone who has been a part of our journey thus far—our administration, parents, supporters, and community. Your encouragement means so much to our program. We look forward to continuing to grow and making even more beautiful music in the future.

Mighty Marching Lions Inaugural band signing day. So proud of our two seniors Aidan Warner and Cortez Harper. They will both matriculate to Miles College to major in music education and be apart of the Purple Marching Machine.
Thank you to Director of Bands Willie Snipes for giving them the opportunity to pursue their passion at the next level. Congratulations and we wish them the best of luck on their future endeavors!
