We are so proud of Doyle! He was an amazing student and such a kind person. It was a pleasure to work with him and have him in the Waterfront Workforce Program.
He successfully completed the program and earned 5 industry recognized credentials…that can never be denied or taken away. He earned it! 💪🏽
Doyle came to Waterfront Mission with one goal: to better himself and build a different future.
Although he grew up with a loving and supportive family, Doyle faced years of difficult choices. He spent time in prison three times and found himself living on the streets while selling drugs. At 58 years old, he knew his life needed to change. His family encouraged him to seek help, and they told him about Waterfront Mission.
Since arriving at the Mobile Mission in January, Doyle has taken steps toward a new direction. He recently graduated from Waterfront’s Bishop State Workforce Development program and is excited to take the skills and experience he gained into the workplace.
For Doyle, one of the greatest accomplishments has been learning to be proud of himself, a transformation that means even more considering where he started.
Doyle grew up attending church, but it was through his time at Waterfront that he began putting God first again. Today, he spends time reading his Bible, growing in his faith, and sharing God’s message with others.
Doyle’s story is a reminder that it’s not too late for your new beginning.
