Big news for PAs in Alabama!
Today marks a historic step forward as the PA Licensure Compact was officially signed into law by Kay Ivey. This milestone expands access to care and strengthens the future of the PA profession across state lines.
We’re especially proud to have our very own Mrs. Minton, President of Alabama Society of Physician Assistants, present for this momentous occasion representing not only our program but PAs across Alabama.
The future of healthcare is more connected than ever 💙

What a beautiful day at ! Our students joined the effort to build a playground for the church’s youth ministry, and helped with yard work and maintenance. We’re grateful for the opportunity to give back, get a little dirty, and serve our community!! 👷🏽🛝

Happy Inaugural PA Lobby day! We had a great time advocating for our future profession in the state’s capitol. Thanks to the efforts of ASPA and our representatives, House Bill 156 unanimously passed to the state senate today! This legislature would allow Alabama to join the PA compact, which helps to expand healthcare access and remove barriers for PAs to practice across state lines. We love to advocate for our profession!
After speaking with state representatives, our students exchanged white coats and stethoscopes for hard hats and vests and toured Alabama’s new capitol building. It was so fun to see how Alabama is changing inside and out!

Our students spent the morning volunteering with Project Homeless Connect, an event designed to help those experiencing homelessness in the area. It was an amazing opportunity for us to serve our community and get out of the classroom for the day! 🐆 🏥

Proud of our PA students who served on a medical mission trip to the Dominican Republic through CMMSA (Christian Medical Ministry of South Alabama) and Uganda through Show Mercy International. They worked alongside physical therapy and occupational therapy delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
