OPC Young Adults | Midweek Recap 🔥

Last night we talked about “Exposing the Tricks and Lies of the Enemy – Who Are You Listening To?”

We looked at how Jesus responded when He was tempted in the wilderness (Matthew 4:1-11). One of the biggest takeaways was that the enemy doesn’t always come with obvious lies—sometimes he twists the truth and even uses Scripture out of context to create doubt, fear, pride, or confusion.

📖 The three temptations of Jesus showed us:
➡️ Questioning God’s provision
➡️ Testing God’s protection
➡️ Pursuing power and pride apart from God’s plan

But every time, Jesus responded with the Word of God.

We also learned that resisting the enemy is not passive—it’s active. James 4 reminds us to resist the devil, and he will flee. We can’t sit still and expect victory. We must stand firm, stay alert, and fight back with God’s truth.

🛡️ From Ephesians 6, we were reminded to put on the full Armor of God:
• Faith is our defense
• The Word of God is our weapon
• Prayer keeps us connected and prepared

🦁 As 1 Peter 5 tells us, the enemy prowls around like a roaring lion, but God promises to restore, support, strengthen, and establish those who stand firm in their faith.

The lesson in one sentence:
When the enemy starts talking, answer him with God’s Word.

Stay alert. Stay in Scripture. Stay in prayer. There is hope on the other side. 🙌

What an incredible Sunday across all three OPC campuses! 🙌

From powerful worship to life-changing messages and amazing fellowship, God moved in such a special way yesterday. We are thankful for every person who joined us and helped make the day so memorable!
