I am Kyle Kovalchick, currently studying Electrical Engineering at the University of South Alabama. Previously, I worked as a software engineer at Amazon, where I gained valuable technical experience. As the Vice President of the AIAA club, I engage deeply in our sub-clubs like S.A.L.T. (South Alabama Launch Team) and D.B.F. (Design Build Fly), focusing on model rocketry and aircraft design. Passionate about aerospace and engineering, I aim to innovate and lead in my field, applying my technical and software skills to make a significant impact.

Hi everyone! My name is Megan Jordan and I am a mechanical engineering student with an aerospace concentration at The University of South Alabama. I have a huge passion for STEM education and outreach for minorities groups and our youth. I am a fellow of the Patti Grace Smith Fellowship(PGSF) and the Brooke Owens fellowship (BOF). I have previously interned at Blue Origin, Hermeus, Amazon, Aviation Week, and Northrop Grumman. My dream is to continue working in the commercial space industry as a test engineer or propulsion engineer testing rocket engines. I am very excited to be a part of USA AIAA this year and I am looking forward to connecting with other students who share similar passions as me.

First launch of the year was a big success! We had 13 successful level 1 certification flights, another level 1 flight that reached a speed of Mach 1.3 (fastest rocket S.A.L.T. has ever launched), and a successful Level 2 certification flight! Everyone put in countless hours and their hard work definitely payed off! Next launch will be in December when we fly our subscale rocket for this years Spaceport America Cup Competition!
