Another example of the leadership DMST expects on and off the field. Congratulations to one of our Student Athletic Directors! We are so proud of the leadership you show on and off the football and baseball field!

Congratulations, Kendrick Able! Kendrick was chosen as the recipient of Denton Magnet's 2023 Learning Leading Award. District 2 School Board member, Mr. Stringfellow, was on hand to present Kendrick with the award, as well as administrative staff, Mr. Stevenson and Mr. Pettaway, and counselor, Mrs. Glass. Congratulations again, Kendrick!

She also coaches volleyball and is a back to back MCPSS Small School Champion! DMST is committed to modeling leadership in the classroom and on the court! Coach Spencer, we are so proud and thankful for you!

Jill Spencer began her career in education 13 years ago as an elementary school teacher, but she has found her home teaching middle-schoolers at Denton Magnet School of Technology. Spencer teaches computer science and design and modeling, and also serves as an ACES (Advancing Computing, Engineering and Sciences) competition team mentor, robotics coach and volleyball coach. Her robotics team won the VEX Robotics Alabama state championship and her volleyball team won two straight small-school county championships. “I enjoy walking into this building knowing that every single day these students are eager and ready to be problem-solvers,” she said. “The other side of it is: I love how much they inspire me. The kids push me to learn more.”

Another big day ahead for another of our Admiral Strong Nation! Spencer Stoll will compete at the AHSAA State Cross Country Meet tomorrow! We are so proud and we are excited to have you representing our Admiral Nation! In the picture below, Spencer is pictured with another of our Admiral Strong, Audrey Kirby, who finished her varsity season ranked 806th out of 1507 of all girls! What a great day to be an Admiral! First, CONGRATULATIONS to our former Admiral DJ Butler for being selected as the Zaxby’s Player of the Week! Butler had six touchdowns last Friday including 4 rushing, 1 passing, and 1 receiving for over 300 yards! He is a great example of what it means to be Admiral Strong! Last but not least, we had a great Open House tonight for our future Admirals! Our Admiral Ambassadors did a phenomenal job and they would like to thank the PTSO for providing pizza, snack, and water as well as student Jasmine Finch’s family for providing snack bags!
