We’re officially two weeks into the school year! Our rosters are set, our students are settled in, and they’ve been BUSY learning both in the classroom and in the lab! 🔨📚

One thing we know for sure: Safety First on the job starts at ACT – Mobile! 🦺

Our students have been learning the fundamentals of workplace safety, from proper PPE and ladder safety to the many other practices they’ll need to protect themselves—and everyone working around them.

We’re not just preparing students for a career in the construction industry—we’re preparing them to be safe, responsible, and job-ready members of the workforce.

Academy of Craft Training opens new school year across four Alabama campuses

The Academy of Craft Training opened its 2026-27 school year across four Alabama campuses, marking its 11th year preparing high school students for careers in construction. With a new Central Alabama campus, four added programs and enrollment expected to approach or top 1,000 students, ACT pointed to rising internships, job offers and direct-to-work placements as signs of growing momentum.

What a GREAT first week at the Academy of Craft Training – Mobile!

Our AM and PM classes are officially underway, and our students have hit the ground running! From learning the importance of safety and teamwork to getting hands-on experience in the shop, it has been exciting to watch our newest students begin their journey into the skilled trades.

We’re proud of the energy, enthusiasm, and determination we’ve seen from our students this week. This is just the beginning, and we can’t wait to see what this group accomplishes! 💪
