A HUGE thank you to our amazing Eichold-Mertz families for coming out to Spirit Night at Dave & Buster’s!

More than 150 families showed up to represent, support, and show their Eichold-Mertz spirit! Your presence, energy, and continued support mean so much to us.

🔺🟦 Building Our Way Through Geometry! 🧊📐

Mrs. Jackson’s 2nd Grade mathematicians had a SWEET time learning about 2D and 3D shapes using marshmallows and toothpicks! 🍡✨
Students used their creativity and math skills to build different shapes while identifying and counting their vertices, sides, and edges. Hands-on learning makes geometry so much more fun! ❤️🐞

🔬💥 Science in Motion! 💥🔬
Our 4th grade scientists in Ms. Johnson class put energy of motion to the test! Students investigated how the mass of an object affects its energy of motion by rolling water bottles filled with different amounts of water down a ramp and observing how far each bottle moved an empty cup at the bottom.
Through this hands-on investigation, students were able to observe, compare, and gather evidence showing how objects with different masses can transfer energy during a collision. 🧪📊💡

We are SUPER excited about our upcoming EMMS Spirit Night at Dave & Buster’s on Tuesday, September 1st, from 4:00–8:00 p.m.! 🎮🍔

Bring your family and friends and come out to support Eichold-Mertz Magnet School of Math, Science & Technology! 💙💛

Here’s how your participation helps our school:

🎮 Game Cards: Scan the QR code on the flyer to purchase your game card in advance. All proceeds from the game cards will benefit EMMS! GAME CARDS WILL GO ON SALE TOMORROW!

🍔 Food & Non-Alcoholic Beverages: EMMS will receive 20% of the money spent on food and non-alcoholic beverages during Spirit Night!
