Lee Elementary Peer Helpers

♥️ February was a busy month for our Peer Helpers and the Coordinators. ♥️

🩷 February 10th-14th we celebrated the school-wide campaign”Kindness Week.” Our Peer Helpers were able to “Show the Way” throughout the entire school by being morning greeters and by conducting lessons in the classroom. The school climate and culture was a better because of our Peer Helpers. It was an amazing sight to see students so excited to enter the school building each morning.

💙 Then our Coordinators Mrs. Giles and Mrs. Johnson headed to the National
Peer Program Confernce in orange Beach. There they where they were able to learn how to grow our incredible program. They can’t wait to put their new knowledge into practice!

🤍 Last Friday, our 4th grade Peer Helpers were invited to be door greeters for our guest of the annual 6th grade Wax Musuem.

Our Peer Helpers wore blue today to show our support and awareness for World Diabetes Day!

That’s a wrap on Red Ribbon Week! Our first school-wide campaign was a success. The Peer Helpers went into classrooms all across the school spreading their message. More good things to come from this great group of students. “Be the good…Show the way…Lend a hand!”

We are off to a great start of Red Ribbon Week! The Peer Helpers are busy spreading the message🍿 🎞️ “Life is a Movie. Film Drug Free.” 🎥

Our new Peer Helpers are trained and eager to get started with our first campaign of the year (Red Ribbon Week). More information in the upcoming weeks.

The Peer Helpers have been busy this week with morning announcements, greeters on Valentine’s Day, running our appreciation stations, and even teaching lessons to classes. Help us to spread kindness this week!

🦃 Our Peer Helpers collected all the donations for the Ronald McDonald House. We were blown away by the amount of items brought in. Thank you to all who helped this charity. ❤️
