Social Media Commenting Guidelines
Sometimes the best way to educate our children is to model great behavior; this includes positive social media practices. To keep our social media sites safe forums for sharing your experiences, suggesting improvements, or joining a conversation, we have a few simple guidelines. To ensure exchanges are informative, respectful of diverse viewpoints, and lawful, w
e will not allow comments that are:
• Spam: Comments selling a product or service will be removed.
• On Topic: Comments that do not reflect the topic of the post will be removed or hidden.
• Personal attacks: If you disagree with a post, we ask that you refrain from personal attacks or being disrespectful of others.
• Illegal: Laws that govern the use of copyrights, trade secrets, etc. will be followed.
• Language: Comments including, but not limited to, profane or provocative language, hateful, racially or ethnically offensive or derogatory content, threats, obscene or sexually explicit language will be deleted. While the district makes every effort to respond to direct questions in a timely manner, comments regarding a personal issue with the district or a school staff member will be removed.
