Message from Perkins PTO:

Ute V. Perkins PTO needs volunteers to help with concessions during soccer games. If you could sign up for at least 2 times, that would help us immensely! (more is greatly appreciated!)

Parents, grandparents, and teenagers (perfect for service hours) are all welcome to come to support our school in our fundraising efforts. This is an awesome way to practice handling money, addition and subtraction if you'd like to bring children learning that! The past years, families have really enjoyed helping at the concession stand!

Games are Tuesday and Thursday Sept 1 - Oct 14 5:30- 8:30 in 1 hour increments. During the 5:30 and 6:30 games, 2 volunteers would be best.

We will message you before your scheduled time to remind and confirm. Thank you, Perkins PTO!

Student Cell Phone Use Policy

This policy outlines the expectations for student cell phone use during school hours. Its purpose is to help maintain a positive learning environment, reduce distractions, and promote responsible use of technology.

DEFINITION

Cell Phone: Any device capable of transmitting voice, data, or video, including—but not limited to—smartphones, tablets, and smartwatches.

POLICY

Students that bring a cell phone or other device to school will be required to place it in a signal-blocking pouch for the day. Pouches are located in the classroom where the student is located. Teachers will return all student devices at the end of the day.

Permitted Use: Students may use their cell phones only during recess and only in the designated cell phone use area. Devices may only be used by the student who owns the device.

Prohibited Use: Cell phone use—including, but not limited to, texting, phone calls, social media, gaming, and internet browsing—is not permitted during instructional time or outside of the designated use area.

Consequences for Policy Violations

First Violation: Warning-reminder of the rules regarding cell phone use.

Second Violation: The cell phone will be confiscated and held by school staff until the end of the school day or as determined by administration.

Third Violation: The cell phone will be confiscated and must be picked up by a parent or guardian.

RESPONSIBILITY

Students are responsible for the care and security of their devices. The school is not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged devices.

Parent/Guardian Involvement

Parents and guardians are encouraged to review and discuss this policy with their children to support responsible technology use. They will be contacted in the event of repeated violations or other related concerns.
