Good afternoon GCHS 9th grade student, parents/guardians
My name is Ms. Strate and I am the new school counselor for the 7th-9th grade students. Each year students and their parents/guardians meet with the school counselor for a college and career readiness (CCR) meeting. The purpose of a CCR meeting is to talk about and set a plan for your student’s future high school, college, and career goals. The main focus of this meeting in 9th grade is to prepare students for their 10th grade year. During this meeting we will check in on graduation progress and work to request potential classes your student may be interested in taking during sophomore year of high school. Each meeting will be about 45 minutes long.
It is highly recommended that parents/guardians are a part of these meetings so you can be aware of what classes your student needs to be taking to graduate from high school and what classes they can potentially take their sophomore year.
Please use the attached scheduler to make an appointment. Appointments are available during the week from Monday-Wednesday starting on March 9th.
If you are unable to make an appointment in the prescheduled time slot please contact Rae Lynn Mason so we can work to create an appointment time that works for you. Her email is [email protected]
Use this link to make your appointment:https://calendar.app.google/RLEu6cCswumCTpBBA
Translation services will be available as needed.
Please request services when you book your appointment.
Thank you!
