MLHMS OCTOBER STUDENTS OF THE MONTH

The 7th grade Student of the Month is Porter Hall!
Porter works hard on his assignments and is always willing to help other students. He walks his peers through questions so they understand instead of giving them the answer. He answers questions and is respectful when others answer. He takes ownership of his work by making sure he catches up on missing assignments and is responsible for his own learning. Porter is always engaged and ready to learn, he has a great attitude, and T-Bird spirit. Porter likes pancakes and the color green, and he has 1 dog and 2 cats. Porter can solve a Rubik’s cube, and he likes to run and go on the river. His advice to others is “Do not give up on the things you love because it will make you successful”. Congrats, Porter!

The 8th grade Student of the Month is Katie Dowd!
Katie gets all work in on time and makes sure to take responsibility for her work when she is not here. She is engaged in projects and is open to feedback to make her projects stronger to get the best grade possible. She brings a great personality to class, always volunteers to go the extra mile, keeps everyone smiling with her humor, and goes all out to show her school spirit. Katie loves to dance and play sports. Her favorite color is pink and her favorite animal is a horse. Katie loves to hang out with her friends and family and make them laugh. Her advice to her fellow classmates is “You only live once, so don’t care what others think about you”. Congratulations, Katie!

🏐🔥 ROAD WARRIORS — TBIRDS BRING THE GRIT TO MONUMENT VALLEY! 🔥🏐
The Lady TBIRDS hit the road today to battle the Monument Valley Cougars, and these girls came ready to COMPETE! ⚡️💪
🏐 C TEAM vs. COUGARS JV: The young TBIRDS played with tremendous focus, heart, and determination, coming up just a couple of points short in both sets. TOUGH LOSSES, BUT GREAT EFFORT!
🏐 JV vs. COUGARS VARSITY: The TBIRDS stepped up against the Cougars' varsity squad and CAME AWAY WITH THE VICTORY! 🔥
THAT'S TBIRD TOUGH!
Different challenges. Valuable experience. One common goal—GET BETTER EVERY TIME YOU STEP ON THE COURT!
The road trip continues tomorrow as the Lady TBIRDS head to GREEN RIVER for another two sets of matches!
