Meet Ms. Silvia!

Silvia Payne will be Moab Charter School's Special Education Teacher during the 2026/2027 school year. She previously worked as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant at Moab Charter School, providing fine motor and handwriting interventions for students. For the past two years, she has been in the special education program. She is currently completing her master’s degree in special education. She enjoys hiking, gardening, and caring for her many plants and animals. She is a proud mom of a creative daughter studying art. Ms. Silvia is also passionate about helping children discover their strengths and loves her work.

Meet Ms. Katy our 6th & 7th grade teacher!

Katy Robertson has lived in the Moab area for 23 years and brings 20 years of experience in education, including 14 years as a classroom teacher. She will be teaching 6th and 7th grade at Moab Charter School during the 2026/2027 school year. She spent 10 years teaching in multi-grade classrooms and especially enjoys working with middle school students. Katy is passionate about helping students learn and grow through meaningful, individualized support that meets their unique needs. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time outdoors boating, gardening, and hiking with her dogs. She relaxes by knitting, baking, and crafting.
