As we kick off National School Bus Safety Week, parents — remind your kids to always:

🟡 Look left-right-left before crossing the street.
🟡 Stay at least 5 giant steps away from the curb.
🟡 Before boarding, wait for the bus to come to a complete stop.

🚀 Science Thursday was out of this world in Ms. Amy, Ms. Brittney, and Ms. Jaylon's Head Start classroom at Loogootee! 🪐✨Last week, our little scientists 🧑🔬👩🔬 focused on the letter A 🅰️ and space 🌌 with some amazing hands-on activities. ☄️

• Ms. Amy and the kids created "asteroids" 🪨 in small groups, then headed outside ☀️ to launch them into "moon dust" 🌕 (a cosmic mix of flour and cocoa 🍫) to see how craters are made! They wrapped up the fun with a super fun meteor shower 💫 building gross motor skills. 🏃♂️🏃♀️
• Ms. Brittney worked on fine motor skills by teaching the kids how to fold paper airplanes ✈️. The kids loved throwing them and seeing how far they could glide through the atmosphere! 🛫
• Ms. Jaylon made homemade moon dough 🛸, and the kids had a blast sensory-testing it by squeezing, shaping, and flattening 👐 it into their very own "space" creations! 👽

We love learning, we love science, and we love Head Start! 🌟 Ready for the next countdown! 🗺️🚀🧑🚀 Enjoy Fall Break!
