This might be one way you might cool off at Candlelight on September 19!

Did you know you can park at the Nature Center and ride the free shuttle bus to the village? Buses will loop between the Nature Center and the Village from 4 to 9 p.m.

This is the view from the bus stop in the village where, you’ll find lots of delicious food and cold pop available at different locations.

So come, sit by the creek, listen to the music, and enjoy a relaxing evening at Spring Mill State Park. And don’t forget to treat yourself to some delicious Persimmon Pudding!

There is a gate fee to enter Spring Mill State Park. Because of the limited cell coverage this is a cash event.

Celebrate Fall at Spring Mill State Park’s Candlelight Tour!

Mitchell’s Tri Kappa invites you to step back in time and celebrate the beauty of fall during the Candlelight Tour of the Village at Spring Mill State Park on Saturday, September 19, from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m.

As you stroll through the historic village, you will feel as though you have traveled back to the 1860s. Enjoy music from the period, discover what everyday life was like during that time, and you might even be recruited to march alongside the soldiers! As the sun goes down the houses and the mill will have candles glowing in the windows.

Come hungry! The ladies of Tri Kappa will have a variety of delicious foods and treats available for purchase, including beans and cornbread, hot dogs, nachos, caramel corn, cookies, candies, and more. Be sure to save room for some special favorites, including Tri Kappa’s famous persimmon pudding and persimmon cookies.
There is little cell phone coverage in the Village, so this is a cash only event.

Know what this mess mean? It is almost time for the Candlelight tour at Spring Mill State Park. Persimmon bars and persimmon puddings are joining fudge in the freezer. Come join us at the park on Sept. 19 and see what goodies the other Tri Kappa ladies are making.

Members, please help us by:
* contacting your local schools and art teachers to see if they will have a child draw and submit a one page picture.
* asking your children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews if they would like to draw a page to submit. You can then submit it for them.

The deadline to submit is: February 28, 2026
